  • Kama (Kyrie) and Christy Mitchell

Kyrie and Christy's lives intertwine both personally and professionally. They were married in 2003 and began building not only a family together, but a business that would help shape their community. After a couple of years, God blessed them with Worry Free Preschool. The couple has dedicated their lives to give back to children of their community with what they need most … love. Kyrie and Christy Mitchell want to see a change in their community and believe that it starts from the source. “If you want change, you have to be the change,” Christy says.

  • Our Approach

Helping Your Child Grow To Their To Their Full Potential
    • Early Literacy

We find it’s critical to help young children be ready for school by working with them to develop early literacy and learning skills.

    • Education Assessment

We apply the learnings form each child’s assessment to design specific activities that ensure their educational needs are being met.

    • Play Experiences

Play experiences will always be child initiated and child directed with the right amount of teacher guidance and assistance.

    • Nutritional Care

Our goal is to ensure that every child has nutritionally balanced meals throughout their day; breakfast, a mid morning snack, lunch, a mid afternoon snack and dinner are all covered through your tuition.

Things You Should Know To Ensure Your Child Has A Worry Free Day
    • Birthday Celebrations

Birthdays are special time for your children and we love to celebrate the occasion. We ask that you consult with the teacher prior to your child’s birthday and if you wish to provide sweets for the class that they come from a commercially prepared kitchen.

    • Class Attire

Worry Free kids play inside and outside all year long! Please make sure your child only wears close-toed shoes and dresses appropriately for the weather.

We also ask that you keep at least two changes of clothes in your child’s cubby at all times.

    • Sick Child Policy

If your child displays the following symptoms, you will be contacted and asked to pick up the child within one hour.

Temp of 101.0 degrees or higher

Diarrhea and vomiting (will be evaluated by teachers and director based on child’s physical condition)

Discomfort or pain, which cannot be eased or requires continuous one-on-one attention

Outbreak of a contagious disease (Chicken Pox, Impetigo, Conjunctivitis, Scabies, Lice or Ringworm)

      Unidentified Rash

    • Conferences & Daily Reports

Conferences will always occur prior to the transitioning of a child to a new group. Parents are encouraged to request a conference whenever they would like to discuss something at length with the staff. Daily communication will be encouraged to discuss routines and incidental matters. Daily reports will be provided to parents of toddlers to 2 year old children and children 3-5 years old will receive weekly class updates and reports through email.

    • Health Information

Our healthy policy is set to ensure we maintain an environment that is free of infectious germs. Special housekeeping and staff procedures play a key part in this effort but parents also play a critical role in maintaining the health and safety of the children. Every Worry Free child should receive the proper immunization shots so that they do not expose other children to their illness.

    • Your Childs Cubby Space

Each child will have their own cubby to store their belongings. Items that should fit in the cubbies include a naptime mat cover, child-size blanket, small pillow and sleeping item (if desired). All items including clothes should be labeled with the child’s first and last name.

Each child’s cubby also has a parent pocket; it will contain teacher notes, newsletters, tuition bills and more. We ask that you check this folder daily.

    • Seeing Mrs. Christy and her staff interacting with the children in a loving and patient way made me very reassured. The best part is my son loves going to school! There are times he doesn’t even want to leave! Every day he comes home with telling us everything he learned and what he got to do today.

    • I have seen the daycare grow incredulously since its inception over 10 years ago. The Mitchell’s s really make exceptional efforts in providing the best care for every child. The continued education, the phenomenal dedication and the Christian-based morals are what make this daycare truly worry-free!

    • Such an incredible place to bring your child for VPK and daycare. They are always teaching and engaging the children to learn. Clean facility, honest and dependable. They showed us and our son such great love and care. Any fears I had about leaving my son for the first time were quickly dismissed. I received pictures of my son via text to help easy and comfort my fears. He always still ask’s to go see her and when he can go back again. In fact he told me that Mrs. Christy taught him everything he needed to know for big kid school and more.

    • Worry free daycare, where do i start.. I met the owner Christy Mitchell in 2009 and she assured me that my son would be okay and I had made the right decision in enrolling him into preschool. I cried the first day I dropped him off but I knew i had to go to work . Overtime my son got really close to Christy, she loves the kids the same way she loves her children. Eventually I enrolled my second child at Worry Free because I knew she would receive the same love she that was provided to her big brother. I love the fact that Christy works with the kids one on one. There isn’t another daycare compares or that I would put my children in. Thanks for being an loving wonderful teacher!

    • Choosing to leave my grand baby at Worry Free Daycare was one of the best choices I’ve made in my life, she was cared for daily like she was a family member. The crying at home during naps ended and she loved to go to school each morning, with no turning and screaming when I left. Christy runs her daycare with love for the child as well as educating them daily, giving them the enrichments they need at such an important stage of life. I would recommend anyone that’s looking for quality daycare to contact Worry Free and let Christy take away all their fears about leaving their lil one.

    • My 2 children was taken care of by Ms.Christy at Worry-Free Preschool, my son Nate 1 yrs old and my daughter Jay was about 5 yrs old. Ms. Christy was excellent with my children she love them just like they were her children. She built a family atmosphere for the children, she thought them to read, Spanish and also sign language. When my children start school both of them where ahead of the class in school. Ms. Christy did a great Job with teaching my children and getting them ready for school. My son is now 12 yrs old and has been a AB honor roll student since 1st grade, and my daughter is 16 yrs old and also has done very well in school she is in all advance classes in High School. Thank you so much Ms.Christy for all you have done, Be Blessed.
